October 2008

It’s that time again and thanks to a solid suggestion from jonhox i’ve been exposed to a new J-Babe this week, the lovely Mihiro Taniguchi.

Mihiro Taniguchi is 25 and has Japanese actress, singer and AV Idol listed as her achievements to date. Originally from Kashiwazaki City in Niigata she emerged on the scene back in 2004 with a debut number called Sun Flower.

Her career in AV started in 2005 although i’ve not familiar with her work i’m sure she must be pretty talented in this field after having appeared in 50 odd movies.

As with recent nominees that have ventured into the world of AV it’s increasingly hard to find appropriate photos that don’t involve nudity, but a little digging though the annals of Google uncovered these little beauties.

The whole school girl thing is super big in Japan. Lots of guys get their Girlfriends to dress up in this stuff.

Silicone Love Dolls

Let me first preface this post with a little background info. It would come as no secret to anyone that knows me, for me to say i drink too much, these days it’s only on the weekends, but i do i drink too much.

The result of a big weekend on the grog often has me in a vulnerable state on a Sunday night, alone at home with no Girlfriend. I find myself regretting the copious amounts of punishment i put my body through and beating myself up over wasting another weekend watching the world go by through the bottom of a beer glass.

It was last Sunday night when i came across the picture below that put things into perspective for me, after seeing this I’ve realised that i am actually quite normal and I’m too hard on myself.

If I get a guilt trip over drinking a bit excessively on my 2 days off then what on earth does this bloke have running through his mind when he puts his head on the pillow on a Sunday night?! It’s not like he’s just got the one lifeless companion either, he’s got 3 of them!

Download TV Shows

October 29, 2008 · 25 comments

Let’s face it, TV in Japan has some comedic value but for me a lot of it is mind nummingly boring. If you’re fluent in Japanese you may benefit from a wider selection of programs than i do, although from what i’ve been told by people who are, it actually dissapoints you more to understand 100% what the show is about.

The one exception for me is sport, i do find alot of sport that interests me on Japanese TV, the Sumo, Baseball, Horse Racing, K1 and so on.

So, despite having E2 by Skyperfect i still find myself lacking some entertaining TV which leads me to download TV shows from the internet. Before coming to Japan i had no idea how this stuff really worked, also we were lacking the fat internet connection we have here so it wasn’t really an option back then.

How do i download tv shows? Using 2 things, a torrent search engine and then a torrent client that enables the p2p (peer to peer) sharing. Basically, it relies on each user having a piece of the file to be downloaded and sharing those pieces amongst each other until everyone has the complete download.

Firstly, find the torrent using a torrent search engine, i use isohunt. Once i’m at the Isohunt search page i enter the name of the show i want to download, in this case The Amazing Race.

Once you’ve found the episode you want it’s just a matter of saving that file to your system for opening later, or starting to download directly as i do.
