I’m often searching around the internet for WordPress Themes and WordPress Plugins and finding exactly what you’re after can be a time consuming excercise. In the space many people fit “using a free theme for a blog” it’s often a matter of finding something that has a close resemblance to what you’re after and then spending a countless hours fine tuning it to suit your requirements, if you have the patience and technical ability that is. Finding something as close to what your after is the key in most cases.
I moved from a Blogger platform to WordPress several months ago and although there has been many a challenge the benefits have far outweighed the frustrations. The learning curve has been high and i’m now confident i know my way around WordPress. I’ve been able to successfully manipulate my theme just the way i like it although some more minor tweaks are yet to come. I haven’t been shy in asking for help either, if i come across a site with something i want i’ve email them directly and more often that not had a prompt informative answer.
Here’s a great WordPress Theme available for Free Download. It’s following the very popular Make Money Online, 3 Column theme including a widgetized footer.
Download the Make Money Theme

You can download the Free WordPress Theme from here or here or even here
Like most Free WordPress Themes it will be subjected to GPL License.

A few weeks ago i wrote about my Sony Living Room PC and extras which doubles as the home office after hours during the week and generally for extended periods on the weekend. I think if i had to sit bolt up right at a desk i`d be spending a lot less hours in front of the computer but things are pretty comfortable so it`s easy to let the hours slip away. The only downside of the PC, if you could call it that, is the Japanese OS with Vista installed which as painful as it is at times it at least makes for some good Japanese reading practice, don`t quote me on that when i`m having a fit trying to navigate the directory structure mind you.
I have a Sony 40` HD TV as my `monitor` … the left hand side of the screen i`m doing a little work on my personal blog, the top right hand side i`m catching up on the latest from John Chow and the bottom right hand corner i`m watching Survivor 15 China through Windows Media Centre. I don`t think i`ll ever tire of watching Survivor.
There`s also a wireless keyboard (Japanese again) on my lap and a 500ml can of Asahi to the left of me and a packet of hot beef jerky to the right, both just out of shot.

Well not that J.C but J.C as in John Chow. It was his site i came across several months ago that prompted me into doing something with Babymoon and although my earnings are a far cry from where he`s at it`s actually starting to get some legs and may turn into something yet, more on that later.
John Chow is at the forefront of the ever increasing `Make Money Online` sites the internet has to offer and many of my inspirations and ideas on how to best monetise Babymoon have come from Johns site.
How do i know he knows what he`s talking about you ask? Just have a look at his September figures for his `Make Money Online` blog alone, forget his other business interests. O.K, if you`re too lazy to follow the link i`ll tell you here, he made $20,512.17 during the month of September on the back of having ~ 10,000 readers every day.
Now i`m not suggesting Babymoon is ever going to hit those heights and nor does it need to. What i am interested in is when you search for Babymoon on Google it returns my site on the first page for Google globally and actually it returns the number 1 spot when searching in Australia. What this means to me if you`re searching for a Babymoon then you`re bound to end up at my site which with any luck returns a few bucks my way. Now the next challenge is to get the greater search term of `Pregnancy Massage` to return my site as a top listing.

Now i’ve switched over to WordPress i need to find a theme suitable for what i want to do. I can gaurantee i won’t settle on the first so expect to see plenty of iterations over the next few weeks.
Why the change to WordPress you ask? It has a softer more rounded look about it would be my way of describing it. The tools used for developing and maintaining the site are built around ease of use, something that appeals to me greatly.
Like i said i’m still in the infancy stages of setting up the new blog so you can expect to see plenty of content being added in the near future. I’ve got a steep learning curve with editing CSS as opposed to HTML, which to a web developer wouldn’t be difficult at all but i’m a mere part time blogger with a keen interest to learn more about all things internet so it’s a steep learning curve for me!

The phrase Web 2.0 refers to a perceived second generation of web-based communities and hosted services — such as social-networking sites, wikis and folksonomies — which aim to facilitate collaboration and sharing between users. The term became popular following the first O’Reilly Media Web 2.0 conference in 2004,[1] and has since become widely adopted.
