While the good weather’s still good why not hire a row boat from outside the Canal Cafe in Iidabashi and enjoy the sights on the water.
The chivalrous man let’s the missus get all the exercise … the sacrifices we make. ?!

That’s pathetic. One of the many reasons it is sooooo easy to find a beautiful girl who longs to be treated like the princess she is.
Next time you see a beautiful girl, grab the closest flower you can find and then hand it to the girl and tell her “A beautiful flower for a beautiful girl”.
Then walk away….
50/50 chance she will be so taken away she will drop inhibitions and stop you to engage in conversation.
You just acted like a real “man” Smile and be happy
I have a drop dead gorgeous G.F. who loves me to death and all I do is show my love every chance I get….very easy.
Spoken from the heart Chris, you old romantic you.
I’ve heard the words on many an occasion, from Japanese girls, the reason they often like western men or they would like to have a western Boyfriend is the “Ladies First” mentality in the west …. it’s freakish how many times i’ve heard that expression … it must be being said someone within Japanese society for it to be used as often as it is.
Just treating a girl with respect and as an equal here can often be thought of as exceptional behavior whereas it really isn’t …. guess it’s all based on how high the bar has been set by others that walk before you.
By the way, you did read my sarcasm in the words i wrote i hope! … the internet can be a tricky place to capture ones intent in so few words at times …. *casts mind back to the post on Amae* …. http://neilduckett.com/amae-and-japanese-girls/
Hmmm Neil…. I can only say wait til you marry one of those drop dead gals. Then you’ll see how petty she can be. Of course, your actual mileage may vary.
