Cool Japanese Transport

On the way to the station tonight i spotted this Japanese guy pulling up to the Jihanki for a drink, probably a late afternoon fix of Green Tea.

It makes you wonder whether there are any road rules or restrictions at all in Japan. It reminded me of when i was in Taiwan late last year.

I saw someone riding an ATV down an island road last weekend. The rims were not as cool as the one in your pic though.

Woah! You see that kinda crap in the country here, but never on major roads. That’s probably because all the gas-guzzling SUV’s would flatten anyone stupid enough to be on one of those.

At least it’s safer than a motorcycle. I’m curious at how fast it is with such small tires. Anyone have a link to this atv’s site>?

G’day Neil,
Have enjoyed going over some of your entries over the last months.
In relation to the Quad, while in Germany , I saw quite a few of these registered on the road ,some quite heavily modified for street use too.
It certainly spun me out the first day I saw one parked with registration plates on it.
I also saw one of these in Germany too , check it out, GG Quad

Hey Ben … thanks for the info and good news on making it to Sweden …. i’m sure i’ll see some updates on facebook and get more detail on where you’re working.

As for the Quad … you’d never guess what software they use to design it would you. We have a few demo sets of this rendered up quite nicely. Will try and find some and send you a few pics.
