A buddy of mine bought one off the eeepc's and is happy with it. It was him that gave me the idea to pick up a mini pc in the first place.

I have a USB mouse, very happy with it. Agree, the typing is slow for me at the moment, if it becomes an issue i'll grab an external keyboard.

I picked up the predecessor model, the HP-2133, a few months ago for 45,000 yen. Nice little machine; it has a higher resolution (1280 x 800 IIRC). The keyboard is really nice. It came pre-installed with Vista, which I left on in case I ever need it for whatever reason, but installed Linux (Xubuntu) which works surprisingly well and it makes a great little mobile development PC.

I bought Eee PC netbook earlier this year for a bargain basement price in New Zealand, and been completely satisfied.

To do any type of fast and useful typing on these things, however, you need to purchase a separate USB keyboard, but they are really cheap nowadays, alongside with a separate USB mouse.

Perfect for blogging on the go, not a big fan of the color though. Are you going to install OS X on it?

Btw, could you make possible to subscribe to post comments?

Yep, light and portable makes it so easy to take around the place, love it already. Looked at the DELL range too mate and it was a toss up, can't remember the final reason behind the HP over the DELL but it wasn't much.

That other laptop was my work machine ... not a personal one.

Always the way Rick. I needed the PC sooner than later so couldn't wait .... not even a few weeks.

It came with XP Home on it, Japanese version, which cant upgrade to English so i had to put XP Professional on it in anycase. Will check out Windows 7 for a home PC in the near future.
