I was out late in Harajuku the other night and happened to be a little peckish, if would be fair to say it probably had a little something to do with a belly full of beer.
Late night food for me in Japan usually leads to 1 thing …. Ramen.
The usual masses of people were absent from Jangara Ramen so there was no trouble getting a seat right away.

Scanning the menu i noticed a spicy miso ramen i hadn’t seen before, ’nuff said …. and YES, it was every bis as spicy as it looks!
Jangara Ramen has 6 shops around Tokyo so if you love your Ramen i suggest you give this place a go.

I actually did give this a try when I was there, on your past recommendation. Very good stuff! They should sign you up as a spokesman, Neil.
Yum! I’m a fan of Nogata Hope Ramen – shops all over, including a few in Harajuku/Sendagaya. http://www.nogata-hope.com/
Cheers, will give it a try!
I’m all over it. There’s always a lineup outside of this place.
Good to hear someone else loves it Billy.
Haven’t been to the one at harajuku, but I have had it at the 本店 in Akihabara. It’s on the Ramen map!
Wow! Looks great Duck. Want to help me open up a ramen shop in Australia?
I think there’s 1 in Melbourne, i remember my last visit about 1.5 yrs ago wanting to give it a go …. although it was 42 degrees that day and i was hungover with Bob so we ended up at the boozer instead.
last time i was in Japan the wife’s brother took me to a shop near the fish market in Yokohama. Normally i am not a big fan of ramen but what this little old lady made i couldn’t get enough of. I still think of it and havent found a place in nyc that even comes close. when i find out more i’ll post it for you.
Please do Jay.
