Japanese Kamasutra

Word or Warning: Pictures contained within are probably NSFW. :)

The Japanese version of the Kamasutra is known as the Shijuhatte (しじゅうはって or 四十八手) and is comprised of 48 positions, 96 if you count the opposites as well. That said, there seems to be 96 uniquely named positions so really, i have no idea.

I first heard about the shijuhatte in one of my “real life” language lessons over dinner at Otafuku the other night, much more relevant and interesting that hearing about biji-san buying 3 big red apples and naturally it was something i want to look into a little more.

Let me first say, research on said topic is better done in the comfort of ones home as it returns some interesting results when searching through google. One being, according to wikipedia Maria Ozawa , bought a book herself many years ago to learn the 48 positions, a handy purchase for her line of work, maybe even tax deductible i dare say.

All interesting information, however, preferring visual aids myself the site that was of most interest was the one with the manikins engaging in the various positions.

If you’re looking for Books and DVD’s on the Kamasutra then you can try here, if you just want some pictures then keep on reading.

Take this one for example, the Anvil (Kinuta)

Anvil

The translation of the names is quite funny, positions such as the “Cuddled tea Grinding Mill” Treasure Boat” and “Perpendicular Pine Needles” all caught my eye.

Here we have “Fiddling the Confederate Rose” (Shibori Fuyo)

Fiddling The Rose

Why not try “Lifting of the Bale” (Tawaradaki Honte)

Lifting The Bale

Maybe a little “Perpendicular Pine Needles” (Tachi Matsuba) is more your speed. Not sure how comfortable it is for old mate with her head on the tatami. This one might be worth practicing with an artificial partner first.

Perpendicular Pine Needles

Good old fashioned “Taming the Shrew” (Tsubushi Komagake) and I don’t mind saying, the shrew looks well and truly tamed.

Taming The Shrew

A little pirate action with “Treasure Boat” (Takara-Bune)

Treasure Boat

For the rest of the pictures and detail instructions on how you can get your Girlfriend or Boyfriend into these sex positions check out this site here, probably better done from home though.

There’s also the site in Japanese and a Japanese version made for browsing on your cell phone, handy for a few late night lessons with your own J-Babe like Maria Ozawa, Yuriko Shiratori, Aki Hoshino or the gorgeous Mihiro Taniguchi. Lastly, here`s a great book covering the Secrets to picking up Japanese girls.

Ha, this post kills me…

The ‘Perpendicular Pine Needles’ looks like could use some practice. Wouldn’t want anything snapping off if done incorrectly.

Yes, it could be quite dangerous in novice hands.

LOL! I’ve seen these somewhere before, but can’t remember where now. Probably e-mailed to me by one of my perv co-workers back in the U.S.

What’s with the Gaijin models and I’m sure they left out the 下の毛, it is Japanese after all.

‘Helicopter Man’ (a performer in Japanese adult videos) must also have this book. He actually uses these positions in his scenes. I’ve viewed him performing in both mosaiced and uncensored AVs. He is hilarious and humorous. 3=)>
