Last weekend to celebrate the AFL Grand Final we had a party at a mates places …. the beers were flowing but more importantly the lamb was rotating on the spit.

With the belly stuffed with spuds, peppers, onions, garlic and all manner of herbs and spices the only thing left was to stitch it up and get it spinning
A little over 2 hours later and it was pretty much done.

Believe you me, It tasted every bit as good as it looks.

Looks tasty! Bet u had some good brew to go with it
Corona`s all day Rob … then on to Jameson’s Irish Whiskey in the evening. Paid for it the next day a bit though!
Wow … some Aussie thing I think … we’d prefer porc, but we’d go for the coronas anyway
Lamb … pork … beef, any and all are OK with us!
Awesome, looks tasty
How much does it cost to buy a lamb of that size?
It was about AUD$100 and fed a good 20 people so well worth it.
That must have been one heck of a party with 20 people
It definitely sounds like a good deal!

Hey Chris …. been very slack with the site since getting home …. will get my groove back one day. Spit results look great mate …. it`s a favorite way for me these days. Hard to see but we also jammed a heap of garlic and coriander in the small holes throughout the body ….. along with the vegetables we sprinkled a lot of chilli too …. taste was great mate. Spuds came out a treat as did all the veggies. Need to watch the damn think doesn`t catch on fire though that’s my only warning …. lambs / pigs love a flame!
Damn! That looks good.
Tasted every bit as good too.
Interesting, looks very barbarian to me, nothing we do here in Sweden. Still looks yummy though^^
It’s very popular for catering for big groups here Jonas.

I would like to try that it looks tasty. Do you make that on a special grill?
Hope a great summer’s gearing up for you, buddy!
Cheers!
Oh god, I didn’t know what that was and it sort of freaked me out when it popped on my screen.
Oh my gosh, I’d say with all the herbs and veg inside it tasted incredible.
That looks a bit scary but at the same time absolutely scrumptious. The herbs and veg inside must have made in incredible. OK I gotta go get a snack now
That looks absolutely scrumptious and as you’ve said, it tasted just as good. I’m drooling looking at it right now. I agree with Johnny, those herbs and vegetables must have been great, soaking up all the lamb grease. Awesome pics!
This looks like something that would freak me out at first but Im sure that it tasted absolutely amazing!
