Some weekends having Ramen for lunch just doesn’t work for me, it slows me down if i’ve got a few things to do and not being a fan of green tea means i have to have a beer instead … again, not good if there’s a few things to do post lunch.
So enter McDonalds as a quick and easy eating option for Saturday’s lunch and specifically, the new McRib that caught my eye while reading what Ken’s been up to.
The pressure was on the McRib considering the Juicy Chicken is still on the menu and it didn’t disappoint, i went for the basic burger, there’s a double available too, maybe next time.

In other food news i’ve had to re-evalutate some of my dining options during the week, namely Tuesday nights when several of my favourite places are closed.
The easy option was “Grumpy Yakitori”, run by a guy who can’t smile, not when i’m there anyway … more on this next time.

did you order a smile with it? ^^
Didn’t need to, came with a smile without asking.
Have yet to try the McRib in Hong Kong. Think it just came out not too long ago.
I’m about to write my own McDonald’s post!
Mcdonalds fries dipped in chocolate shake!!! The salt and sugar play real nice. Everyone does that right??
The thing I’m most curious about is how they get the grill-like marks on the thing when it’s pretty obvious it hasn’t been grilled.
Never had the McRib myself as, in the immortal words of Mr. Jules, I don’t dig on swine.
May not be real pork anyway, JT.
Did the McRib (and posted about it) last week. It’s not quite the one from back home, but it still is a McRib. A little over-salted, though, much like the rest of MickeyD’s fare here in Japan. Still, I’m happy to see it here, even if only for a month.
A little over-salted, you got that right Billy.
Yeah, buddy! Do that double up! I’m still reeling from it.. So worth it though!
Hey there… Your Macadonaru posts here… heh, they’re great, thanks. They’re totally reminding me of my trip last year this time. Do they have the Tsukihime burger again this year, with the egg and the “sauce”? It was surprisingly alright.
If you’re interested, I actually tried every item on their menu that we don’t have in Canada, on the last day of my trip last year… I’m sure your readers would love to see something similar here…

Haven’t seen that burger Chris but will keep an eye out for it.
ugh, dunno how you can eat this stuff. each to their own though I guess..
Hungry + pushed for time = McDonalds easy option i guess.
No doubt, I’d probably find one of your likes to be pure swill so yeah, to each his own. I saw the pic of you and friend on the roof and it sure doesn’t look like you eat anything more healthy than Mc D’s???
Them’s be fighting words back in the Old Country…
Much prefer talk of bettys and Mexican food.
Did you enjoy the English on the rib wrapper!

(posted about it after Billy posted about McRIB, which actually has already been offered in Japan at least once.)
Nice wrapper, didn’t notice myself, will no doubt get another soon and i’ll be sure to check it out.
You have just decided what I’m having for lunch today ^^;
Go the double Danny!
Hey, go for Burger King !
I like subway. Does that count? Maybe not.
