Shibuya Street Dancer

August 5, 2009 · 26 comments

I had cause to visit Shibuya one last time the day before i left Japan.

I ran into this fella, dancing to the tune of “It’s Raining Men” and drawing quite a crowd just near the Hachiko exit.

His moves were OK, his enthusiasm was spot on, my only suggestion would be a less revealling pair of shorts.

Shibuya is full of interesting sights, both during the day and at night and was home to one of my favourite photos.

This guy was on Australian TV last night – he’s a politician just trying to bring a smile to peoples’ faces during the GFC.

I agree with the comment about the shorts.

Hey! It’s my favorite crackpot Akasaka Mac! He has run for Governor of Tokyo a couple of times. He’s quite the genki chap, now isn’t he?

Is he performing for money? Did you take a video of the dance? Regarding the shorts… didn’t he notice??

Haha, he MUST have known it was going to be as revealing as it was.. Just a little worried that he still went ahead and wore it anyway lol! Did he actually have a reason to be dancing anyway?

O…k…..wonder how much votes he got. haha.

Here in Fukuoka a guy bikes around in a sailor outfit from waste up, and similar shorts to this guy, and then some leg warmers, Japanese female High School student style. Only he wasn’t performing so I don’t know what he would feel if I took his photo.
