I had cause to visit Shibuya one last time the day before i left Japan.
I ran into this fella, dancing to the tune of “It’s Raining Men” and drawing quite a crowd just near the Hachiko exit.

His moves were OK, his enthusiasm was spot on, my only suggestion would be a less revealling pair of shorts.

Shibuya is full of interesting sights, both during the day and at night and was home to one of my favourite photos.

This guy was on Australian TV last night – he’s a politician just trying to bring a smile to peoples’ faces during the GFC.
I agree with the comment about the shorts.
Right you are Motts ….i’m told this Kanji 党 means party as in political party.
I hope he remembers to feed his budgie
Hahaha.
I’ve just seen things that I really didn’t want to see. I hope that he was good, at least. Really THIN shorts, aren’t they?
FAR too thin!
Hows the girl in the background? Your camera didn’t wander and zoom by accident
Not that time … i did spot a ripper a few minutes later that i did get though.
Ha ha… I suggest Bruno’s hot pants for him!!
Only in Japan – you can see things like this!!!?
Hey! It’s my favorite crackpot Akasaka Mac! He has run for Governor of Tokyo a couple of times. He’s quite the genki chap, now isn’t he?
Is he performing for money? Did you take a video of the dance? Regarding the shorts… didn’t he notice??
He’s a political candidate from what i’ve been told.
Why his band-ribbon written Akasaka while he danced in Shibuya
Don’t need the answer
Viva 50’s people
I like that jiji dancer. looks like hentai by very omoshiroi. long time ago was in Japan.
Haha, he MUST have known it was going to be as revealing as it was.. Just a little worried that he still went ahead and wore it anyway lol! Did he actually have a reason to be dancing anyway?
Only in Japan.
He looks fantastic, I’d say that was very funny to witness. As “The Enjoy” said, “Only in Japan”
Cheers Carmel
That guy looks fantastic, nice blog .wonderful experience shared by you.
he look very funny man
Is he the Richard Simmons of Japan?
Hot damn, if he isn’t proud of looking ridiculous.
O…k…..wonder how much votes he got. haha.
Here in Fukuoka a guy bikes around in a sailor outfit from waste up, and similar shorts to this guy, and then some leg warmers, Japanese female High School student style. Only he wasn’t performing so I don’t know what he would feel if I took his photo.
This sure got me smiling. Only in Japan indeed! Great post. Thanks!
That’s funny and unbelievable how confident he looks.
Oh my gosh he is just classic. The outfit says it all I think.
I love that he was dancing to its raining men! How funny he must have been, he looks like hes loving it!
