Hi from Australia,
Thanks to you now I finally understand what a ‘salary man’ is.

When I first visited Japan I ended up in Kyushu and people asked if I was a salary man. I had no idea what they were even talking about as I’d never heard the term before.

Of course Salary and Man I understand but I ask you would I refer to anyone as a Wage Person? I don’t think so. Anyways no doubt it will now become an expression that I just take on board & never consider too much.

But what a life they lead. 1.15am into bed and 5.30am out of be! How are they not brain dead?

Japanese salary men don’t get enough sleep which is why they sleep on trains. They often rush to work so quickly that they have mad the art of getting ready real fast in the morning

I must be a ‘Salary Man’ – our Sundays are exactly the same! Haha, I visited Japan for the first time in January. Tokyo is by far the most unique city I’ve ever seen!

Strangely, I never saw anyone as relaxed on the trains as that man – everyone had tense faces as they silently texted on their mobiles.
