Top 5 Websites I Can`t Live Without

December 18, 2007 · 16 comments

Well i can live without them, it’s just wouldn’t be as catchy a title, and there’s a lot more than five too.

Truth be known, there’s really only one i must have and that’s for my Internet Banking, so i guess this is just a list of a few of the sites i visit on a day to day basis. Maybe there’s something in this lot that interests you?

Japan Probe for the lighthearted goings on in around Japan. Many an article featuring Japanese Gravure Idols and the stuff you won’t hear so much about in main stream media.

Sly Bald Guys and their blog for all the tips on caring for a bald head. Let’s face it, Bald is Beautiful, let’s keep it that way.

John Cow a parody site based on John Chow and all about “Making Moooney Online”

News On Japan for a collation of interesting news articles from various sources in Asia, they happen to be nice enough to pick up my feed on a regular basis.

The Age the newspaper from the last state i lived in, Melboure Australia, before moving to Japan. I’ll be back there for the first time in a year this Friday.

Paul Hartrick for anything Apple or Vista related along with Photography and anything Japan

It wouldn’t be a post of mine if i didn’t have a picture of a couple of Japanese Melons, so to break the list up a bit and add a bit of colour, here you go.

Japanese Melon

On todays conversion rate that works out to USD$90 the pair.

Anyway, back to the list for the last few sites.

Danny Choo for all the latest Anime and quirky goings on in and around Tokyo. Danny is also famous for his Shibuya Dance Trooper Video

Akihabara News for all the latest and greatest electronic gadgets in Japan

Bicycle Sidewalk a vlogger’s perspective on Japan as he cycles all over the place.

Japan Sugoi for everything cool about Japan and specifically the section on Sexy Japanese Girls

Digital World Tokyo for the latest and greatest electronic devices i can get my hands on while living in this great country.

That sums up a few of the sites i visit on a daily basis, there are many more but for now that will have to do.

those melons are ridiculously expensive but they do taste quite good… when I saw them first time in a department store in Hong Kong few years back I could not believe my eyes… I am not sure how true it is, but I heard that these melons are usually gifts and get recycled quite a lot – people get the melon and they give it to somebody else etc

The recycling part would not surprise me at all!

Big fan of News On Japan…
hmmm…curious to know if Google Ads is working (making em any money)…afterall it seems they only run/rip off RSS feeds, no articles/posts…hmmmm…
But a collection of JPN news feeds etc…

I’d guess they would be Nathan, the ads seems pretty unobtrusive and many visitors are outside the ‘knowledgable’ group on how sites make money online.

The melon in the shot is a “crown musk melon”. It is one of the sweetest, juiciest and overall tasty melons you will ever eat. In a word: fantastic.
Go on, spoil yourself (& her)!

Hi. I’m a bit new here and I’ve only just seen these melons. How big are they exactly? I’m very curious. Can you post a photo perhaps with you holding one in your hand?

Nice site! i will be back!

Definitely not a a fan of japanprobe. they copy Japanese TV and upload to youtube and show the vids on their site. OK if you’re non profit but they are a big for profit site? Do they pay royalties to Japanese TV stations? Doubt it. The only site you are missing which would be on my top 10 is TokyoMango
