My wife is Taiwanese - we spend a lot of time going back and forth...some of the (dirt) roads outside of Taipei...down south would surely give most western more than a shock...hopefully in the next 5 to 10 years things will become more developed and people will realize that strapping a plastic chair to a moped is probably not the best way to transport your next of kin...
